What destinations have connection with the Santa Lucía airport?
From the AIFA you can fly to many destinations. The most popular are:
- Cancun
- Guadalajara
- Monterrey
- Tijuana
- Merida
- Oaxaca
- Puerto Vallarta.
Other connected destinations are: Acapulco, Mexicali, Veracruz, Puerto Escondido, Huatulco, Los Cabos and La Paz. And if you want to leave the country, you can choose from these destinations:

How to get to the AIFA from the CDMX?
To get to the AIFA from Mexico City you have several options, depending on where you leave. Most of the options connect with the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense and with the new road to Tonanitla.
The time it takes to get there can vary: between 40 and 90 minutes approximately. The traffic changes according to the time and day and also determines the arrival time. We recommend using a navigation app like Waze or Google Maps to plan your route.
Is it cheaper to fly to the AIFA than to the AICM?
The answer is yes, and it is due to two main reasons: on the one hand, airlines have lower operating costs at the AIFA. The airport facilities fee at Santa Lucía is cheaper than at the Benito Juarez International Airport (AICM). At Santa Lucía, the fee is $20.84 US dollars. On the other hand, at the AICM, the fee is $26.02 dollars.
