When you arrive at YVR and have collected your luggage, please head to the courtesy shuttle pick up in the level 3 departures area. Once at the pick up area please call us at +1 778-385-5551, so we can have our shuttle service pick you up. We kindly ask you to look for a white Ford Transit 150 with a black logo that reads West Coast Car Rentals on the side.

All customers should present the following documents in order to proceed with the rental:

  • Official ID (INE or Passport).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Credit Card.

All renters and drivers must present a valid drivers license at the rental counter. All Valid United States, Canadian, Mexico, International FULL drivers license accepted. All non full drivers licenses will need to be approved before pick up.

A charge of $9.99 USD per day plus taxes applies for each additional driver.

Minimum age is 18. A charge of $15.00 USD per day plus taxes applies to renters between 18 and 25 years old. If you fall out of the age limits, you might not be able to hire a car. You might be subject to charge of a Young Driver Surcharge if you are under the minimum age limit or if age limit stands to be confirmed. If under 25 years of age you may be charged a Young Driver Surcharge.

Children under the age of 4 are required to travel in child seats. There is a charge of $9.99 USD per day plus taxes for child seats. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will apply. Subject to availability.

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of rental to avoid refueling charges.

Rates with unlimited kilometers are only available for travel within British Columbia. If traveling in Alberta- Washington-Oregon and California rates with unlimited kilometers will have a USD$20.00/day surcharge. Customers driving within other provinces or states will be charged USD$0.59 for every km driven during the entire rental.

This supplier will not accept transferred coverage from any Credit Card or Insurance company (not including ICBC road STAR plus). In the event you do not have acceptable coverage ICBC (Insurance corporation of British Columbia) you will be obliged to purchase suppliers loss damage coverage and Third Party Liability (TPL) in order to successfully collect your car. We can elect not to rent to you if you do not present complete proof of transferable auto Liability Insurance that extends to British Columbia at the time of rental should include the name address of the insurer policy number and expiration date. The insurer must be located in British Columbia Canada.

One-way rentals are available, a drop-off charge may apply.

All major credit card-Visa-MC-American Express-JCB- Unionpay-Discover. For debit card-prepaid cards- Cash rentals please get in contact with our office directly for approval at +1 604-689-1231. A minimum deposit amount of $500.00 CAD will be held on your card at the time of the rental once the vehicle is returned this deposit will be released this process can take 7 to 14 business days. At the time of pick up a valid Credit Card with enough funds in the name of the primary driver must be presented for pre-authorization charge of deposit. Deposit will be held against your Credit Card during rental period as a guarantee in the case of damage or theft of the vehicle. It will be automatically released if there is no theft or damage during renal period. Please note that this does not represent your total excess liability. For debit card prepaid card cash deposits please get in contact with our office for approval. Note. In the case of failure to present a valid card or a lack of funds for car rental charge and deposit car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. No funds paid will be reimbursed.

An additional credit card approval of $500.00 CAD will be required in addition to the estimated total for the rental.

Due fluctuations on the currency exchange rate, have in mind that the total charged on your credit card might differ from the total displayed on our website. The difference (if any) will depend on the currency exchange rate between the moment when the booking was made and the moment when the charge is reflected on your credit card statement. On the event we have to refund any amount to your account, we will refund the exact same amount charged originally and we will not be responsible for any currency fluctuation that may occur and that results in a higher or lower refund than the one expected.

If your booking was confirmed through the website or through our Call Center at +52 (33) 4624 2114, please use the same channel to request your cancellation. If your booking was confirmed through a third-party website (broker, online travel agency, etc.) please use the same third-party website to request your cancellation. Some third-party sites have cancellation fees if the booking is not cancelled within certain period of time. Mex Rent a Car will not be responsible for such cancellation fees.
