ARRIVAL INFORMATION

Gracias por elegir Mex Rent a Car. Después de recoger su equipaje, llame a nuestro representante de servicio al cliente al 18006765764 Ext. 1 o al 14072259184, y le enviarán un servicio de transporte a nuestra oficina principal. Una vez que salga de la zona de recogida de equipajes, diríjase a la primera fila entre la columna 4 para esperar el transporte.

 

RULES

All customers should present the following documents in order to proceed with the rental:

Valid official ID (Passport).

Valid Driver’s License.

Credit Card.

The same credit card or the same cardholder cannot be used to rent two or more vehicles within the same period of time. 

Accepted method for deposits: Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). 

Local renters will be subject to background check, which will be conducted at the counter separately. This will represent a cost of $30 USD.

 

GRACE PERIOD

Reservations will be honored for a period of 1 hour after the confirmed pick up date and time. After this period, we cannot guarantee the reserved vehicle, but you can be sure we will do everything in our power to provide you with a vehicle.

 

ADDITIONAL DRIVER

A charge of $9,99 USD per day plus taxes applies to each additional driver. The additional driver must meet the same requirements as the main driver.

 

AGE

Minimum age permitted is 25 years old and maximum age permitted is 75 years old. An additional charge of $39,99 USD per day plus taxes will apply for renters between 21 and 25 years old, and  75 to 85 years old.

 

DEPOSIT

Required deposit depends on the coverage or protection selected, as explained below:

The required deposit for reservations with basic product (no vehicle insurance added) is $700 USD. For special categories such as SKAR (Midsize commercial Van), VVAN (Passenger Van), and VFAH (Passenger Hybrid SUV) the requested deposit is $1000 USD.

The required deposit for reservations with inclusive product (CDW - Collision Damage Waiver) is $500 USD. For special categories such as SKAR (Midsize commercial Van), VVAN (Passenger Van), and VFAH (Passenger Hybrid SUV) the requested deposit is $700 USD

Accepted method for deposit at the counter: Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). 

 

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Children under the age of 4 are required to travel in Child Seats. There is a charge of $19,99 USD per day plus taxes for each child seat. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will apply. (Subject to availability).

 

FUEL

The fuel policy at this branch is same-to-same fuel tank level. You will return the vehicle, with the same amount of gas it was given to you.  No charges for fuel will be added to your rental costs unless you return the vehicle with less than the fuel level it was given to you. If you return the vehicle with less than how it was given to you, you will be charged for the missing fuel at 9.99USD per gallon plus taxes, plus an admin fee of 20.00 USD plus taxes. No Fuel deposit will be taken when you collect the vehicle. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.

 

ONE-WAY RENTALS

One-way rentals are not available.

 

GEOGRAPHIC

Vehicles can not be mounted on ferries to visit nearby islands of Puerto Rico.

 

MILEAGE

The mileage is unlimited. 

 

DRIVERS LICENSE

All drivers must present a valid drivers license during pick up. The license must be in Roman alphabet. In case you do not have a license in Roman alphabet, you must present a valid international driver's license during the rental period. 

The driver must have held the license for a minimum period of 1 year. Drivers Aged 25 must have held a Full Driving License for A minimum of 1 Years to Rent a vehicle.

 

NO SMOKING

Please do not smoke inside the vehicle. If any smoke is detected, a cleaning fee will apply.

 

PAYMENTS

The following are accepted for rental payment: Debit or Credit Cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover). 

No cash or vouchers of any kind are accepted.

 

PREPAID RESERVATIONS

Mex Rent A Car reserves the right not to deliver the vehicle if it considers that the driver is not able to drive or if the driver does not comply with the rules described on these terms, even if the booking has been prepaid. Therefore, it is very important that you familiarize the terms and the documents that need to be presented at pick up. For more information, please contact us at +52 (33) 4624 2114.

 

INSURANCE AND WAIVER OPTIONS

CDW (Collision damage waiver) is available for $27,99 per day plus taxes.

SLI (Supplemental liability insurance) is available for $16,99 per day plus taxes.

 

EARLY/LATE RETURN

Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period booked. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to an additional charge.

 

MULTIPLE OR DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS

If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservations will be automatically canceled. Mex Rent A Car will not be responsible for such cancellations.

 

ONLINE BOOKINGS

Rates that are impacted by a website technical issue, database issue or other means will not be honored by the location if the rate display was inaccurate due to a technical issue or tampering issue to change the rate display.

 

EXCHANGE RATE

Due fluctuations on the currency exchange rate, have in mind that the total charged on your credit card might differ from the total displayed on our website. The difference (if any) will depend on the currency exchange rate between the moment when the booking was made and the moment when the charge is reflected on your credit card statement. In the event we have to refund any amount to your account, we will refund the exact same amount charged originally and we will not be responsible for any currency fluctuation that may occur and that results in a higher or lower refund than the one expected.

 

CANCELLATIONS

If your reservation was confirmed through the website www.mexrentacar.com or through our Reservation Center at +52 (33) 4624 2114, please use the same channel to cancel it. If your reservation was confirmed through a third party site (broker, online travel agency, etc.) please use the same channel to request your cancellation. Some third party sites have cancellation fees if the reservation is not canceled within a certain period of time prior to your rental. Mex Rent A Car is not responsible for such cancellation fees.
