ARRIVAL INFORMATION

After collecting your luggage, please exit the terminal and cross the street straight ahead of you. There you will find a yellow sign that says "To Car Rental Shuttles". Our uniformed agent will be waiting for you holding a sign with Mex Rent A Car logo on it. If you are not able to locate the Mex Agent please call 297-593-5155. Our office is just minutes away. ADDITIONAL DRIVER

Each additional driver costs $5.00 USD per day plus taxes. Maximum $35.00 USD per Rental, per Driver. No one is permitted to operate the rental vehicle other than those registered at Mex Rent A Car Aruba. A fee is applied per driver, per day. Valid Driver’s License, passport and major credit card must be presented upon arrival at rental counter. Name on credit card and Driver’s License must match. International driver’s license holders must present a valid driver’s license from renters/driver’s country of origin authorizing operation of an automobile.

AGE

Minimum age 23, Maximum age 85. No underage driver's accepted.

CANCELLATIONS

If your booking was confirmed through the website www.mexrentacar.com or through our Call Center at +52 (33) 4624 2114, please use the same channel to request your cancellation. If your booking was confirmed through a third-party website (broker, online travel agency, etc.) please use the same third-party website to request your cancellation. Some third-party sites have cancellation fees if the booking is not cancelled within certain period of time. Mex Rent a Car will not be responsible for such cancellation fees.

DEPOSIT

Deposit required can be from $500.00 to $1,000.00 USD depending the car class and the insurance included in your rental. Please ask for more information at the counter.

DRIVERS LICENSE

A valid driver’s license must be presented upon Pick-Up. No one is permitted to operate the rental vehicle other than those registered at Mex Rent a Car Aruba. Valid Driver’s License, passport and major credit card must be presented upon arrival at rental counter. Name on credit card and Driver’s License must match. International driver’s license holders must present a valid driver’s license from renters/driver’s country of origin authorizing operation of an automobile.

EXCHANGE RATE

Due fluctuations on the currency exchange rate, have in mind that the total charged on your credit card might differ from the total displayed on our website. The difference (if any) will depend on the currency exchange rate between the moment when the booking was made and the moment when the charge is reflected on your credit card statement. On the event we have to refund any amount to your account, we will refund the exact same amount charged originally and we will not be responsible for any currency fluctuation that may occur and that results in a higher or lower refund than the one expected.

FUEL

Rates do not include fuel. Fuel level is to be returned with same amount of fuel as received, a penalty applies if less. Excess fuel is not refundable.

GEOGRAPHIC

Driving restrictions - driving of rental vehicle is prohibited on Beaches, Sand Dunes, Arikok National Parka and where prohibited by Local Law and on private (for Arikok National Park, Off-Road Vehicles are excluded). On Private Property, follow per Owner’s instructions. Fines/Penalties given by the Local Authorities and/or Private Entities for the above mentioned infractions and any other violations involving the rental vehicle, are not covered by CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), FDW (Full Damage Waiver), or any Insurance. These are between the Renter and the Local Authorities and/or Private Entities and are to be paid in full directly by the Renter to the Local Authorities and/or Private Entities before leaving the Island.

GRACE PERIOD

Reservations will be honored for a period of 2 hours after the confirmed pick up date and time. After this period, we cannot guarantee the reserved vehicle, but you can be sure we will do everything in our power to provide you with a vehicle.

INSURANCE AND WAIVER OPTIONS

You will be able to select one of the following additional coverages at time of rental:

Third Party Liability Insurance up to $83,000.00 USD is included in the rental rates, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the Local Law and the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. Any Third-Party damage caused by the Primary Driver and/or Additional Driver(s), whether they are caused to Vehicles, Objects, Persons or Animals, a Third-Party Damage Insurance Claim is charged to Primary Driver and/or Additional Driver(s) whether Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Full Damage Waiver has been purchased or not (Insurance Claim charge costs $85.00 USD plus taxes). If you have purchased or are relying on third party collision coverage any damage to the vehicle will be charged to your credit card and the renter will need to seek reimbursement from the third party policy. A damage report must be completed by the driver for any damage to the vehicle. If a collision occurs, a Police report must also be supplied when returning the vehicle. We strongly advise clients to contact us immediately in the event of any damage. If this procedure is not followed, the insurance coverage could become invalid and the client could be liable for all damages. TPL is included in all rates. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle its parts (except tire damage) and accessories except for theft, attempted theft, vandalism or gross negligence provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the Local Law and the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. CDW deductible is 500.00 USD for economy – full-sze sedans, 1,000.00 USD for premimum sedan, SUVs, Vans and all terrain vehicles. Deductible is per Incident. A damage report must be completed by the driver for any damage to the vehicle. If a collision occurs, a Police report must also be supplied when returning the vehicle. We strongly advise clients to contact us immediately during opening hours in the event of any damage. If this procedure is not followed, the insurance coverage could become invalid and the client could be liable for all damages. CDW is $10.00 USD per day plus taxes. FDW Full Damage Waiver (FDW) reduces your financial liability for damage to the vehicle its parts and accessories except for theft, attempted theft, vandalism or gross negligence provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. FDW deductible is zero. Note: Full Damage Waiver is only offered on rentals of 4 days or more and is NOT offered for premium sedans, SUVs, Vans and all terrain vehicles. A damage report must be completed by the driver for any damage to the vehicle. If a collision occurs, a Police report must also be supplied when returning the vehicle. We strongly advise clients to contact us immediately in the event of any damage. If this procedure is not followed, the insurance coverage could become invalid and the client could be liable for all damages. FDW is $24.00 USD per day plus taxes.

MILEAGE

Unlimited.

NO SMOKING

Please do not smoke inside the vehicle. If any smoke is detected, a cleaning fee will apply.

ONE-WAY RENTALS

Please return the vehicle to the same location where it was originally rented.

ONLINE BOOKINGS

Rates that are impacted by a website technical issue, database issue or other means will not be honored by the location if the rate display was inaccurate due to a technical issue or tampering issue to change the rate display.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

Children under the age of 4 are required to travel in child seats. Child seats are available at $5.00 USD per day plus taxes each with a maximum of $50.00 USD per rental/per month, per child seat. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged, a repair or replacement charge will apply.

PAYMENTS

The following are accepted: American Express, Visa/Visa Debit, Master Card/Master Card Debit, Diners Club, Discover and Cash.

PRE-PAY

Mex Rent A Car reserves the right not to deliver the vehicle if it considers that the driver is not able to drive or if driver does not comply with the rules described on these terms, even if the booking has been pre-paid. Therefore, it is very important that you familiarize the terms and the documents that need to be presented at pick up. For more information, please contact us at +52 (33) 4624 2114.

RULES

All customers should present the following documents in order to proceed with the rental:

• Official ID (INE or Passport).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Credit Card.

The same credit card or same cardholder cannot be used to rent two or more vehicles within the same time period.
