RENTER QUALIFICATION

Rates are for renters 25 years or older. A valid drivers license and a major credit card in the renter’s own name must be presented at time of pick up along with a return airline ticket or return flight itinerary. Renters 21 to 24 years of age are subject to a Young Drivers Fee. It is our policy to hold reservations up to four hours beyond the scheduled arrival time, subject to published office hours. If you experience delays, please contact the rental office so that they can make their best effort to extend your reservation. Any adjustments or changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Major Credit Cards - Amex, Discover, Diner's Club, MasterCard and Visa. Credit card will be processed for estimated total charge plus $100.00 USD deposit at time of rental. No other cards accepted. Bank Issued Debit Cards: Accepted with a return flight itinerary. The customer must complete a "Customer Information Sheet.” Renter must present verifiable proof of insurance on renter's own vehicle. Debit card will be processed for estimated total rental charge plus $200.00 USD deposit at time of rental. Bank Issued Debit Cards (Local Renter): Please view Local Rental Rules. Local renters are all renters with a zip code starting with 77. Prepaid Cards Not accepted. Cash is not accepted as payment upon return of rental vehicle. Discounted Multiple day rates are valid for full term only. Early Returns will be charged regular daily rate. Proof of Insurance: The state of Texas requires all drivers to carry proof of insurance. Collision coverage may be purchased at the counter if paying by credit card. Car class restrictions apply. Your rental may have mandatory, local insurance requirements that result in additional charges at the time of rental.

YOUNG AND ADDITIONAL DRIVERS

Additional Drivers: Additional Drivers are subject to a $9.00 USD/day per driver additional driver fee. All additional drivers will need to qualify by presenting a valid driver’s license and additional contact information. The minimum age for additional drivers is 21. Underage fees apply to any driver under the age of 25, no exceptions. All drivers are required to have state minimum liability protection. Renters and additional drivers age 21-24 will be subject to a $15.00 USD underage surcharge. Drivers under the age of 25 must also provide proof of liability and collision coverage presented at time of pickup, with renter listed on the policy. Non-owners insurance must be valid for 30 days prior to pickup. Renter is still responsible for comprehensive and collision coverage of the rental car when using non-owners insurance. No renters under the age of 21. Additional drivers age 18-20 permitted, if a parent or guardian over the age of 25 is primary renter and pays a $20.00 USD per day underage fee. Additional drivers under the age of 21 must also provide proof of liability and collision coverage presented at time of pickup, with additional driver listed on the policy. Any valid form of proof of insurance is accepted as long as it will transfer to the rental vehicle. An agent will call the insurance carrier for cash, debit card, and local customers to ensure that the customers insurance policy covers the rental vehicle. Non-owners insurance must be valid for 30 days prior to pickup. Renter is still responsible for comprehensive and collision coverage of the rental car when using non-owners insurance.

GEOGRAPHIC

Unlimited Mileage within the state of Texas only applies to air arriving customers. Travel to Mexico is prohibited. Customers with Texas drivers license, please see Local Rental Rules for mileage restrictions. An additional $20.00 USD fee per day charged when traveling to Louisiana. Vehicles traveling out of TX and LA will be subject to a fee of $150.00 USD. Renters will also be given a 100 free miles per day and $0.25 USD per extra mile.

LOCAL RENTER REQUIREMENTS

Local Renter must provide a valid drivers license. Local Renters (any renter residing in a zip code starting with 77): Receive 100 free miles per day and $0.25 USD per extra mile. Local residents using a debit card must complete an information form. Local Renter using a debit card must present 2 of the following with address matching the renter's license: current utility bill (gas, electric, water, or cable) with no past due balance (2 different utility bills are acceptable), verifiable proof of auto insurance, or Lease with proof of current payment. Non-owners insurance must be valid for 30 days prior to pickup. Renter is still responsible for comprehensive and collision coverage of the rental car when using non-owners insurance. All vehicles restricted to the state of Texas and Louisiana. See Geographic Restrictions for additional rules. The additional per day fees listed in the Geographic restrictions would apply.

SHUTTLE

ACE Rent a Car is the MEX vehicle provider in Houston. ACE is a short shuttle ride from the terminal.

Daily and Weekend rates are for a 24 hour period.

The quoted rate is valid only for the requested vehicle class for the requested dates and times. Any adjustments or changes to the reservation may result in a change of rate.

Early returns will be charged the regular daily rate, and may not result in a refund.

Transactions are conducted in United States Dollars

Estimated total price includes the vehicle rental (time and mileage) plus applicable taxes and fees. The estimated total price does not include damage waivers, insurance products, special equipment, additional driver fees, driver age surcharges, or any other items not specifically listed in the quotation.
